Job Description
Intertek is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join their Industry Services team in Austin, TX. The CWI will perform welding inspections and quality oversight activities for a new construction direct buried chilled water piping project in accordance with ASME B31.1 requirements and project specifications.

Requirements

  • Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
  • Demonstrated experience with ASME B31.1 piping systems
  • Experience with new construction piping projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, weld documentation, and quality control processes
  • Proficient with daily reporting and weld tracking documentation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work a 5x10 schedule for the duration of the project
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record required
  • Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States
