Job Description
Worley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their Nuclear team, supporting the delivery of complex industrial projects. The role involves contributing to the design and execution of mechanical systems across the full project lifecycle, from early concept development through detailed engineering, construction, and commissioning. The successful candidate will have experience in nuclear projects, strong technical and practical mechanical engineering skills, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely work.

Requirements

  • Provide project oversight as Project Discipline Lead, integrating design activities in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Lead or support a mechanical discipline team, including engineers and designers, to deliver project objectives.
  • Deliver mechanical engineering services that meet company, client, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the planning and execution of mechanical engineering work, including participating in project meetings, preparing progress updates, and following established review procedures.
  • Contribute to procurement, construction, and commissioning activities, such as preparing requisitions, supporting technical bid evaluations, and reviewing vendor documentation.
  • Serve as Mechanical Lead on projects, when assigned.
  • Outline project requirements, actively promote workshare where appropriate, assign tasks, and supervise progress.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address and resolve technical questions or discrepancies.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant developments and innovations in mechanical engineering.
  • Provide guidance and knowledge sharing within the mechanical engineering team.
