Role OverviewThe Charge Entry Specialist will review and accept electronic and manual charges generated by Augusta Medical Group encounters, ensuring accurate and complete billing of services rendered. This role plays a critical part in supporting Augusta Health's mission and advancing departmental goals through measurable performance indicators and service excellence.
What You Will Do
Accurately enter/accept Evaluation and Management level codes for all professional fee services, understand and maintain education on CPT/ICD-10/HCPCs guidelines, and communicate effectively with providers, office managers, auditors, and billing staff.

Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of physician office experience or related functions
- Eligibility to work in the United States and meet Virginia state employment requirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products
- Knowledge of hospital and/or practice management EHR systems
- Certification through AAPC (can be obtained on the job)
- Prior experience in a hospital, healthcare system, or related service-oriented environment
