As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for the quality of staff and functions during your shift, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel, ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and resources.
What You Will Do
Perform direct patient care, only as needed, within the scope of practice. Continually assess patient care and direct staff to make necessary changes in the plan of care. Effectively communicate with physicians and staff to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Why It Might Be a Fit
Previous supervisory experience, one to two years, in acute care hospital Telemetry 2 setting, required. Minimum of 1 year experience in hospital acute care preferred.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon of hire and maintain current
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred
- Basic Arrhythmia within 90 days of hire
- Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within 90 days of hire and every two years hereafter
