Role OverviewThe Cheese Operator oversees the Dolly Washer, Vacuum Sealer, Boxmaker, Closer, and Tube Liner Inserter, maintaining areas to provide quality packaging for 640 # blocks. The role involves utilizing GPS processes, driving zero losses, and upholding the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables. The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards, all rules, regulations, and orders issued pursuant to the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and all applicable food safety regulations and mandates.
What You Will Do
The Cheese Operator will perform various tasks, including spraying all dollies off, ensuring all cleaning and chemical sanitizing mixing procedures are followed, inspecting each block for foreign material, and utilizing GPS processes to drive zero losses. The role also involves maintaining areas to provide quality packaging, ensuring environmental cleaning is done and signed off by the end of each shift, and keeping records in accordance with good manufacturing process and local and state laws.

Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred

- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
