Role OverviewThe Chef Manager is responsible for leading the daily operations of the culinary department while serving as a hands-on member of the kitchen team. This position cooks approximately four (4) days per week and supervises food production, staff supervision, food safety, inventory management, and the delivery of exceptional dining experiences for the residents of WSL.
What You Will Do
Lead daily kitchen operations, supervise and train culinary team members, design resident-centered menus, maintain food safety and sanitation systems, collaborate with clinical dietitians and healthcare staff, manage production records and vendor relationships, and foster a culture of dignity and teamwork.

Requirements
- College or culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of culinary management experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate a culinary team
- Strong hands-on culinary skills, including batch cooking and the preparation of therapeutic or modified diets
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, production planning, inventory management, and kitchen operations
- Current ServSafe Certification required
- Foodservice Management Professional (FMP) certification preferred
- OSHA Certification preferred but not required
- All Microsoft Office Suite products
