Role Overview

The Chef Manager is responsible for managing overall community dining operations and experience, leading by example with customer service, employee relations, and quality assurance while maintaining compliance with Leisure Living Management policies and applicable regulations.

What You Will Do

The Chef Manager will plan a nutritionally balanced menu, ensure resident preferences are considered, prepare tasteful meals, oversee dining room service, order supplies, and maintain adequate food and supplies for disaster preparedness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Previous courses in Culinary Arts preferred or three years of experience with cooking/baking in a commercial setting
  • Current Serv-Safe Manager Certified or obtained within 90 days of hire
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with minimal supervision
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Professional telephone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
