Role Overview

We are seeking a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant to assess client needs, perform level-of-care evaluations, coordinate resources, and provide group and individual SUD psychotherapy. The role requires outreach to referrals, maintaining accurate documentation, and collaborating with community partners and internal teams to support individuals on their recovery journey.

What You Will Do

Conduct assessments of participant strengths, needs, and level of care to support substance use disorder treatment planning and placement. Provide and assist with individual and group substance use disorder services in alignment with treatment plans and evidence-informed practices.

This role requires advanced communication skills, both oral and written, and experience with multi-need individuals and families. The ability to bill Medicaid without restrictions and use a personal vehicle or company vehicle to provide services in homes, schools, and community settings is also required.

Requirements

  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • Active license to perform SUD psychotherapy issued by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board
  • 3 years of related experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or related field
  • Experience in a substance use program
