Role Overview

The Substance Use Counselor will assist patients through medically assisting treatments and offer techniques for handling opioid addiction. The Counselor will conduct individual and group sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies, and evaluate patients' progress during counseling.

What You Will Do

Provide individual and group counseling services, complete Bio-psychosocial assessments, develop aftercare and discharge plans, and ensure efficient delivery of counseling services in a trauma-informed manner.

Requirements

  • Ohio CDCA, LCDC II, LCDC III, LPC, or LSW
  • Previous experience working with chemically dependent individuals
  • Positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward patient population
  • Understanding of EMR system (electronic medical records)
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
