Job Description
ExxonMobil is seeking a Chemical Process Modeler to contribute to process development and scale-up programs, focusing on application of kinetics, transport, and reactor engineering fundamentals. The role involves developing and applying phenomenological models to guide screening, development, and design of new process technologies, serving as a subject matter expert for the research and process engineering community. ExxonMobil's Upstream, Product Solutions, and Low Carbon Solutions divisions have a commitment to fostering a diverse and innovative work environment.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related discipline with relevant thesis work
  • Demonstrated experience with multi-scale models of process units (reacting and separation systems, electrochemical processes, etc.)
  • Strong background in building, solving, and optimizing kinetic models incorporating fundamental process chemistry
  • Proficiency in computational languages: gPROMS, MATLAB, Python
  • Strong communication and written/oral skills
