Job Description
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing finances at the Hotel St Cecilia, providing financial guidance and training, and promoting profitability. The person in this role must have good communication skills, conflict resolution, and a thorough understanding of Bunkhouse policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of related progressive experience in hotel and/or food & beverage Accounting or related field
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel preferred
  • Accuracy and efficiency with mathematical calculations
  • Proficiency with computers and financial systems
  • Ability to understand and work in various accounting systems and PMS and POS systems
  • Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to clearly communicate with guests, management, and co-workers
