The Chief Decarbonization Officer will lead the City's efforts to reduce carbon emissions from government operations and oversee the management of utility accounts for 80 agencies and 4,000+ City facilities.

Requirements

  • Oversee a 10-year capital budget of approximately $4 billion
  • Negotiate contracts related to energy supply for City government operations
  • Drive the implementation of energy efficiency projects at City buildings
  • Substantially contribute to a cross-agency task force
  • Analyze internal operations to identify and implement high-impact process improvements
