Job Description
The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance of the building, including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. This role directs and works with employees to execute all engineering operations, ensuring guest and employee satisfaction, and maximizing financial performance.

Requirements

  • Lead and execute all engineering and maintenance efforts
  • Develop and coordinate PM programs to ensure reliability, safety, and comfort
  • Oversee hotel renovation, capital construction, and major maintenance projects
  • Establish relationships with vendors and monitor quality, delivery, and warranties
  • Manage emergency evacuation floor plans and fire, life, and safety detection/alarm device testing programs
  • Facilitate new hire training and departmental training modules
  • Create annual Capex budget and operating budget
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring quality and standards are met
  • Review scheduling and staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs
  • Verify property policies and administer disciplinary procedures fairly and consistently
  • Train and develop associates on 4 Keys service standards, technical skills, and safety standards
  • Establish challenging goals to guide operation and performance
  • Solicit employee feedback and identify and address employee problems or concerns
  • Identify and analyze departmental operational challenges and facilitate the development of solutions
  • Celebrate successes and publicly recognize the contributions of team members
