Role OverviewThe Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will lead financial strategy, planning, and performance management while helping guide business decisions, improve profitability, and support the company's continued growth and transformation.
What You Will Do
The CFO will work across the organization to evaluate investments, identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, and translate financial and operational information into actionable business strategies.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The CFO will also represent Aztalan Bio with industry associations, government officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders on matters affecting the company and the renewable fuels industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field
- 10 + years of progressive finance or accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior financial leadership role
- CPA, CMA, MBA, or other advanced financial qualification preferred
- Strong expertise in financial planning, forecasting, financial modeling, capital investment analysis, cash flow, and profitability management
- Experience leading or overseeing an accounting or finance team
- Manufacturing, agriculture, ethanol, biofuels, commodities, or other process-manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Government affairs, public policy, industry association, or external stakeholder experience is a plus
