Job Description
Leidos is seeking a Chief Systems Engineer to lead enterprise-level engineering for the FLITE+ program at Los Angeles Air Force Base. As the senior technical authority for the FORGE environment, you will guide the evolution of system architecture, protect technical baselines, and drive engineering excellence across a complex, multi-partner enterprise.

Requirements

  • Serving as the senior technical authority for enterprise-wide engineering across the FLITE+ and FORGE environments.
  • Driving system architecture, technical baselines, and overall system performance for the Missile Warning enterprise.
  • Leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for delivering resilient, integrated capabilities.
  • Building trusted relationships with government and industry stakeholders to ensure mission needs and priorities are fully addressed.
  • Guiding system-level requirements development, hardware/software design, and verification and validation activities.
  • Acting as a key decision-maker in major engineering reviews, readiness assessments, and configuration control boards.
  • Ensuring disciplined engineering processes are applied across development, production, test, and sustainment.
  • Maintaining visibility across all FORGE IPTs and ensuring horizontal integration of best engineering practices.
  • Partnering closely with the government SEIT lead to maintain aligned, consistent technical baselines across the enterprise.
