Role OverviewThe Child Care Assistant will work with the director and teachers to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children. The role involves planning and executing early childhood education experiences, interacting with children and youth, and maintaining program participation data.
What You Will Do
The Child Care Assistant will assist in providing and leading planned activities for program participants, interact with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques, and maintain control of and account for the whereabouts and safety of children at all times.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, possess the physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, and be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation and a Civilian Medical Clearance Examination.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED certificate
- Ability to read, write, and speak in English
- One year of general experience working with children
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds
- Ability to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background investigation
- Ability to satisfactorily pass the Civilian Medical Clearance Examination
