Job Description
Role Overview

Assist teachers and school personnel with educational programs, planned activities, and supervising children. Maintain classroom and play environments, and perform sanitary and safety checks. Provide customer service to parents and guardians.

What You Will Do

Assist students in learning and recreational programs, reinforce positive behavior, and provide individual assistance. Monitor student activities, promote respect, and explain social norms and disciplinary consequences.

Why It Might Be a Fit

This position requires knowledge of classroom policies and procedures, methods to assist students, and safety rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in child development or a related field and one year of paid experience working with children.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in child development or a directly related field
  • one (1) year of paid experience working with children
  • First Aid/CPR training within twelve (12) months of date of employment
  • May be required to meet the Minnesota State Department of Welfare Center licensing requirements for assistant teachers
