Role OverviewThe Child Care Center Director will oversee the daily operations of the Viking Child Care Center, ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations. The Director will plan and implement comprehensive early childhood development programs, including curriculum development, personnel management, budget development, and grant procurement.
What You Will Do
The Director will perform various duties, including planning the annual calendar, enforcing regulations, attending meetings, scheduling staff meetings, evaluating performance, and maintaining records. The Director will also promote the Center through on-campus and off-campus media, develop and revise publications, and develop good community relationships.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field, with a Master's Degree strongly preferred. The Director must have a minimum of two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of supervisory experience as a child care director or assistant director. The Director must also demonstrate the ability to successfully coordinate and administer all areas of a comprehensive early child care development program.
