Role Overview

The Child Care Manager plays an essential role in protecting children's safety, supporting staff readiness, maintaining family confidence, and ensuring organizational compliance.

What You Will Do

Manage child records, oversee the Medication Administration Program, ensure staff compliance with regulations, and provide direct support to children and staff.

Requirements

  • Belief in Respite Care's Mission and Philosophy
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, Special Education, or a related field
  • Large Child Care Center Director qualification or ability to obtain within the first year of employment
  • Knowledge of Colorado Childcare Licensing regulations or the ability to quickly develop expertise
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed records
  • Must complete Child Care Specialist training and maintain qualifications to provide direct support on the child care floor.
  • Must complete and maintain all required Medication Administration certifications and delegations, including QMAP certification.
  • Must obtain and maintain Safety-Care Instructor certification and conduct Safety-Care training for child care staff.
  • 1–2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Must be a reliable and engaged team member who prioritizes effective communication
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in person, online, and via phone
  • Must be solutions oriented and have a positive attitude
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Excel and Google Sheets, and Google workspace
