Role OverviewThe Child Care Monitor I will conduct planned activities for the Before and After School Care on-site program, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for participants. The role involves supervising activities, setting standards for children's behavior, and interacting with parents and staff. What You Will Do
The main responsibilities include directly supervising children, providing activities, and ensuring safety. The Child Care Monitor I will also participate in evaluating activities, procuring equipment, and reporting incidents. The role requires a cooperative relationship with staff members and positive interactions with parents.

Requirements
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of an approved General Educational Development (GED) Testing Program
- Experience working with school-age children in a group supervision setting
- Ability to complete the BASCC Comprehensive Child Care Components I and II within the 1st year
- Completion of the Florida Department of Children and Families (My Florida) three modules within the 1st year
- At least 10 hours of approved BASCC Child Care training every year of employment
- Computer skills as needed for the position
- Age 18 or older
