Job Description
Role Overview

The Childcare and Recreation Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of childcare and recreation activities, classroom operations, and programming appropriate for the client population.

What You Will Do

Plan, coordinate, and facilitate support groups, recreational activities, special events, and holiday programs. Assist in the development and implementation of new programs aimed at enhancing clients' motivation through socialization and the development of leisure time skills.

Candidates with related experience with domestic violence are preferred. The ideal candidate will be able to create an instructional environment that fosters learning and growth, and provide aftercare to clients in the program.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree and one year of relevant experience with a similar population
  • High school diploma or GED with at least two years relevant experience
  • Related experience with domestic violence preferred
