Role Overview

Healthy Kids Programs is seeking a Site Director to oversee our Before and After School Program at Mercer Elementary School in Harrodsburg, KY for the 2026–2027 school year. The Site Director will be responsible for facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and acting as a positive role model for children in the program.

The Site Director will be responsible for facilitating hands-on activities, providing a safe and healthy environment, and acting as a positive role model for children in the program. They will also observe state guidelines, Healthy Kids Extended Day Program policies, and host school policies.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent documentation from a recognized educational institution.
  • TB Skin Test or Health Professional Statement free from TB.
  • Candidates must meet one of the following:
  • Associate’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education and Development.
  • Associate’s degree or higher in another field (including pastoral care and counseling), plus either 12 hours of child development training or three years of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program.
  • Director’s Credential in Early Childhood Development, plus one year of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, plus one year of verifiable paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program.
  • High school diploma, plus three years of verifiable full-time paid experience working directly with children in a school-based program.
