Childcare Site Director – After School

The Childcare Site Director – After School will lead the After School program at Haldane Elementary School in Haldane, NY. The Director will be responsible for ensuring staff and program operations meet state regulations, Healthy Kids policies, and host school requirements. The Director will plan and lead engaging activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum, oversee daily operational tasks, and maintain clear communication with parents and caregivers.

The main day-to-day responsibilities of the Childcare Site Director – After School include ensuring program compliance, leading engaging activities, overseeing program management, and maintaining family communication. The Director will also be responsible for team collaboration and ensuring high-quality care, strong staff morale, and proactive problem-solving.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• Two years of college with 18 credits in a related field plus 2 years of experience working with children under 13, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
• NY State Children’s Program Administrator Credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• School-Age Child Care Credential or equivalent office-recognized credential plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Medical clearance to perform all job duties and be free from communicable diseases, including tuberculosis (TB).
