Role OverviewThe Transportation Department at GBA is looking for a civil engineer to join our team at our office in Austin, Texas. This position will work with a multi-disciplined team on roadway engineering design, supporting working in our Kansas, Missouri, and Texas offices.
What You Will Do
Geometric Design and 3-D Modeling, including intersection and interchange design, Evaluation and design of multi-modal facilities and corridors, Roadside Safety Evaluation and Design, Basic Hydrology & Hydraulic design, Development of Construction Sequencing, Traffic Control Plans, Erosion Control Plans for Construction, Quantity development and tabulation, Cost Estimation, Standard Specification review and development, Quality Control/Quality Assurance Reviews, Field Visits, Utility Coordination, and Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- 0-2 years of experience
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of employment
- Experience in using AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
- Possess effective communication skills both written and oral
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Experience using the following software is a plus: Synchro / SimTraffic, VISSIM, RSAP, HSM, AutoTurn, HY-8, HEC-RAS, Revu or Adobe
