Role OverviewThe Civil Engineer III performs engineering duties and serves as the construction engineering program office lead and is the Department of Public Works (DPW) construction materials engineer. The role involves contract administration, construction project coordination, and technical guidance.
What You Will Do
Prepare and administer construction contracts, review and develop construction standard specifications, and provide technical guidance on plans and specifications. Coordinate construction activities, track contractor progress, and review inspection reports.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a program accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
- Two years of full-time, professional civil engineering experience performing inspection and/or construction related to sewers, roadways, bridges, and other transportation structures
- Valid driver’s license at time of appointment and throughout employment
