Role OverviewHDR is an employee-owned firm seeking a Civil/Highway Engineering Co-op to join a design team serving clients such as NYCDEP, NYCDDC, NYC Dept. of Parks & Recreation, MTA-New York City Transit, NYCDOT, PANYNJ and NYSDOT. The position is in-person full time at the New York, NY office for January-June 2027, with a flexible length of 4 to 6 months. The Civil/Highway department engages in Highway & Local Roadway design, Green Infrastructure/Stormwater management, Drainage & Grading, Utility/Facility upgrades, Feasibility studies, Transit flood mitigation and resiliency, and recreation/waterfront development.
What You Will Do
Work as a member of a design team on multiple projects, including preparation of plans, detail drawing/calculation checks, and estimate and quantity take-offs for projects of various sizes and complexities. Perform other duties as needed.
