Job Description
The Claims Coordinator ensures accurate and timely filing for dental claims, handling reviews of clinical notes, x-rays, and accounts, and managing claims processing through a clearing house. They are responsible for resolving issues and ensuring timely communication with dental offices and insurance companies. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a commitment to ethical practices.

Requirements

  • Review clinical notes, x-rays, and account ledger for coordination.
  • Manage accounts receivable reports and follow up on outstanding insurance claims.
  • Handle appeals and requests from insurance companies.
  • Maintain and complete appeals and requests from the dental office.
  • Fills in for other Claims Coordinators as needed.
  • Assist and conduct training of new Claims Coordinators.
  • Participate in special projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Assist and conduct training of new CSRs.
  • Participate in monthly meetings.
  • Reports to the CD-RCM with grievances or issues.
