Role OverviewThe Class A CDL Driver will operate a 53' dry van, safely and efficiently delivering goods. The driver will be responsible for performing pre-trip inspections, inspecting the tractor and trailer for defects, and communicating with dispatch/operations. The driver will also be responsible for properly securing or re-securing cargo, reporting accidents or incidents, and maintaining a driver's log electronically.
What You Will Do
The driver will safely operate a tractor-trailer equipment in different configurations, with varying weights, under all types of climatic conditions, terrain, road conditions, and traffic situations. The driver will also ensure that all required shipping documentation accompanies all deliveries and properly secures or re-secures the cargo as required.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL without airbrake restrictions, three years of verifiable experience operating a CMV, and the ability to read, write, speak, and clearly understand the English language. The candidate will also be required to meet or exceed the medical standard of DOT, including passing a physical exam and drug test.
