Role OverviewThe Class A CDL Driver, Home Every Weekend will operate a TAS with a 53' dry van, performing regional runs and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of goods. The role requires a thorough pre-trip inspection, adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, and proper documentation of shipments. The driver will also be responsible for communicating with Dispatch/Operations and reporting accidents or incidents.
What You Will Do
The driver will safely operate a TAS with a 53' dry van, perform roadside inspections, and complete necessary paperwork, including inspection reports, manifests, and trip pay reports. The driver will also verify shipping documentation, note any overages, shortages, or damage, and seal intact when arriving at delivery.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL without airbrake restrictions, three years of verifiable experience operating a CMV, and the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. The candidate should also meet the medical standard of DOT, including passing a physical exam and drug test, and possess a valid Social Security Card.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL without airbrake restrictions
- Three years of verifiable experience operating a CMV
- Read, write, speak, and clearly understand the English language
- DOT applications must be complete and accurate
- No reckless driving violations in the last ten (10) years
- No suspension of license in the last ten (10) years
- No moving violations in the last three (3) years
- No failed or refused drug or alcohol test
- No felony convictions within the last ten (10) years
- No DWI, DUI, BAC, or Open Container convictions in the last ten (10) years
- Successful completion of Corrugated Logistics road test
