Role OverviewInterstate Waste Services is hiring CDL B Front Load Truck Drivers. Safety is the top priority. The job involves safely operating front, side, or rear-loading trucks to collect waste or recyclable material and transporting it to a disposal, transfer, or recycling facility. The driver may make one or more trips throughout the shift.
What You Will Do
Performing this job successfully requires safely operating trucks, transporting material to a disposal or recycling facility, and making multiple trips throughout the shift. Drivers may be required to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds, as well as mount and dismount the truck multiple times every route.
Why It Might Be a Fit
The ideal candidate has a great safety record, a clean MVR, and experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company. They should have a working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations, and be able to speak and read English to converse with the general public.
Requirements
- 21 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Airbrake Endorsement
- 1-year CDL driving experience in the last 7 years
- Great safety record and clean MVR
- Experience as a driver or helper for a refuse company is highly preferred
- Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable traffic regulations
- Ability to speak and read English to converse with the general public
- Read and understand a map
- Meet physical and safety requirements of the position
