Role OverviewThe Class Size Teacher will be responsible for instructional planning, providing written lesson plans, and evaluating pupils' progress. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate attendance records, promoting anti-vandalism programs, and establishing and maintaining reasonable rules of conduct within the classroom and on school grounds.
What You Will Do
The Class Size Teacher will be responsible for implementing instructional methods, drawing from the range of instructional materials available in the school, and providing bulletin board and interest areas reflective of pupils' current work. They will also be responsible for promoting student growth in self-discipline and positive self-concept, and ensuring fairness in teacher-pupil relationships.

To be successful in this role, the Class Size Teacher must possess knowledge of subject matter consistent with state certification requirements, knowledge of contemporary principles and practice of teaching, and knowledge of classroom and behavior management techniques. Requirements
- Successful completion of all student teaching requirements and course work required to obtain the appropriate teaching certificate(s) issued by the Illinois State Board of Education.
- Possession of at least one of the following valid teaching licenses issued by the Illinois State Board of Education: a Professional Educator License (PEL), an Educator License with Stipulations (ELS)
