Job Description
Role Overview

Create and maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning, providing positive educational experiences for all students. Report to the specified school each day and assume student supervision responsibilities. Maintain good classroom control, discipline, and management.

What You Will Do

Accurately report homeroom attendance, follow lesson plans, and develop lesson plans as needed. Administer discipline in accordance with Florida Statutes and School Board policies. Participate in training programs and review current developments related to job responsibilities.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 60 semester credit hours, qualify for a Broward County Substitute Teaching Certificate, and possess computer skills. Bilingual skills and a Bachelor's degree are preferred qualifications.

Requirements

  • Earned sixty (60) semester credit hours from an accredited institution
  • Attend and complete the Substitute Teacher Training Workshop
  • Qualify for a Broward County Substitute Teaching Certificate
  • Computer skills as required for the position
