Job Description
Northern Pines Mental Health Center is seeking a Client Access Specialist to provide daily supportive services for the Brainerd Outpatient Office and Psychiatric Team. The role will involve utilizing technology to complete tasks, checking in clients, administering screeners, and managing provider schedules. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Effectively utilize necessary technology
  • Check in clients for appointments
  • Administer client screeners and enter data into the electronic health record
  • Schedule client appointments
  • Process referrals according to agency guidelines
  • Routinely verify and update client demographic information
  • Manage provider schedules
  • Conduct the entire outpatient intake process
  • Manage client insurance processes
  • Request medical records from external sources
  • Perform general clerical duties
  • Assist clinicians with administrative requests
  • Maintain a clean and professional lobby area
  • Order office supplies as needed
  • Provide resources and referrals to clients
  • Collaborate with all programs within Northern Pines and external community partners
  • Collect and enter client vitals
  • Provide appointment reminder phone calls
  • Follow up with clients who 'do not show' for appointments
  • Request court and/or police records as needed
  • Assist with the management of the company's vehicle fleet
  • Receive and process client payments in the office
  • Reserve and manage room check-outs for staff
  • Manage all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Triage clients to the Mobile Crisis Outreach team when necessary
  • Obtain and verify legal custody or guardianship documentation
