Role Overview

The Credit Dispute Investigator researches, investigates, and responds to consumer credit disputes in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), documented policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory standards. Responsibilities include reviewing direct and indirect consumer disputes, conducting thorough investigations into disputed information, including allegations of fraud and identity theft, collaborating with the Fraud Department and Fraud Investigators when appropriate, determining and documenting appropriate actions taken, responding to disputes within required regulatory timeframes, and submitting corrections to credit bureau reporting where applicable to ensure accurate credit reporting.

What You Will Do

Investigate disputes received through consumer e-OSCAR concerning credit information furnished by Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. Conduct thorough reviews of account records, payment histories, contractual documentation, bankruptcy information, fraud indicators, and other relevant data. Determine the accuracy of reported information, submit dispute responses to credit bureaus, and ensure compliance with Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requirements and established company procedures.

This position requires a minimum of 2 years of overall work experience. Preferred experience includes Business-General: 2 years, Customer Service: 2 years. High School Diploma/(GED) is required, Bachelor's Degree is preferred. 1 year of credit dispute experience is preferred.
