Role Overview

The Associated Press seeks a journalist with a strong track record of covering science and climate solutions to produce stories on solutions that can confront climate change. The ideal candidate will have the ability to report and package engaging stories about climate solutions that will resonate with audiences that are interested in but not expert in climate topics. This person will be able to quickly analyze scientific papers on the latest in climate science, green energy transition, the built environment, electric vehicle adoption and other topics related to climate and environment.

What You Will Do

Connect the latest on climate science with technological innovations and market trends to produce stories on solutions that can confront climate change. Have extensive experience in telling climate and science stories on camera. Be able to tell climate stories in non-traditional ways, like in newsletters, live blogs and photo slides for Instagram.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 4 years minimum experience in journalism
  • Authorization to work in U.S. is mandatory
