Job Description
INTEGRIS Health has a great opportunity for a Clin Documentation Specialist in Oklahoma City, OK. The Clinical Documentation Specialist is responsible for evaluating overall completeness and quality of clinical documentation, working in partnership with physicians, coders, and other healthcare professionals to ensure medical records accurately reflect patient acuity for quality reporting and Medicare Severity-Diagnosis Related Group (MS-DRG) assignment.

Requirements

  • Concurrent review process for all selected admissions
  • In-depth clinical knowledge of complex disease processes and procedures in an inpatient setting
  • Utilize current CMS, AHA, and AHIMA coding guidelines, conventions and coding clinics
  • Develops documentation query protocol and educates essential staff on processes
  • Works effectively with coding staff to clarify documentation issues
  • Contributes to a positive working environment and perform other duties as assigned
