Job Description
The University of Louisville's Department of Health and Sport Sciences is seeking a Clinical Assistant Professor or Lecturer in Exercise Physiology with a focus on statistics and sport science. The position is a non-tenure-track, 10-month renewable appointment, with a start date of August 1, 2026. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in statistics, sport analytics, sport science, or a related field, and experience teaching applied statistics, data analysis, and sport analytics within sport science or human performance contexts.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Sports Analytics, Sport Science, or field related to the position
  • Successful teaching experience in statistics, sport science/sport analytics, athlete monitoring and data management
  • Experience with statistical software and data analysis tools relevant to sport science (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, or similar)
  • Demonstrates ability to work well and ethically with colleagues
  • Demonstrates interest in working in partnership with the university and communities in diverse settings
