Role Overview

The Clinical Educator will participate in quality improvement projects to promote improved patient outcomes. They will develop and maintain electronic applications to improve patient safety and care delivery efficiency. The role involves developing a standardized orientation program, overseeing new staff competencies, and maintaining updated documentation on yearly competencies.

What You Will Do

The Clinical Educator will develop and implement educational programs, provide and coordinate in-service programs, and establish patient teaching guidelines. They will also make rounds throughout the Surgical Services department to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies' guidelines.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology, First Assisting, or Nursing Program
  • Minimum of five (5) years perioperative experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current, valid Arizona licensure or compact RN license
