Role OverviewInova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Adult and Pediatric Emergency Room Clinical Nurse Mentor. The Clinical Mentor will develop expertise in training, coaching, and mentoring staff to promote high-quality nursing care.
What You Will Do
The Clinical Mentor will orient, educate, and develop nursing staff to ensure competence and ability to fulfill specified responsibilities. They will also provide support to novice and advanced nurses and preceptors to ensure a smooth transition into practice and the work environment.
Why It Might Be a Fit
This role requires 2 years of progressive experience in nursing in the designated specialty and 3 months of experience serving as a preceptor. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelors Degree in Nursing, BLS certification, and a license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
