Job Description
The Clinical Operations Administrator provides strategic and operational leadership for a clinical service line across inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings. This role partners with physician leaders in a dyad model to develop and execute strategies that advance clinical excellence, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.

Requirements

  • Develop and implement service line strategy and expansion aligned with organizational goals
  • Serve as a key liaison with executive leadership, physician chairs, and external stakeholders
  • Conduct market analysis and business planning to identify opportunities for expansion, partnerships, and differentiation
  • Drive population health initiatives and value-based care strategies to improve outcomes and reduce cost
  • Lead capital planning and resource allocation for technology, facilities, and workforce
  • Collaborate with academic leadership to integrate research and education priorities into service line operations
  • Oversee clinical operations across all sites, ensuring efficient standardized workflows
  • Transform operational processes and care delivery to achieve consistency across practices
  • Identify and remove barriers to provider workflows within the clinical environment
  • Coordinate capacity management and scheduling to optimize patient flow and resource utilization
  • Monitor clinical and operational KPIs and take corrective actions as needed
  • Implement performance improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce waste
  • Partner with IT and analytics teams to leverage data-driven decision-making for operational improvements
  • Manage financial performance within budget
  • Collaborate effectively in a matrix environment, engaging with peer leaders across service lines and functional departments
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication and joint initiatives
  • Ensure standardization of processes across departments to promote consistency and scalability
  • Partner with department leadership and peer matrix leaders to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing teams
  • Develops and maintains a strong working relationship with medical staff
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Mentor departmental clinical leadership and support professional development
  • Promote engagement and communication across multidisciplinary teams
  • Ensure adherence to accreditation standards, licensure requirements, and internal policies
  • Oversee risk mitigation strategies, including patient safety and privacy compliance
  • Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and audits
