Job Description
UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to support clinical pharmacy services in the Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will provide real-time pharmacotherapy expertise and collaborate with emergency medicine providers to ensure safe and effective medication use.

Requirements

  • Education: PGY1 and PGY2 from an ASHP-accredited residency program
  • PGY1 with 5 years of progressive clinical practice experience
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • 5 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty with PGY1 from an ASHP-accredited residency program or 8 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty
  • Computer skills, data entry experience
  • English (speaking, reading, writing). Good general health and stress coping ability. Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.), reaching, bending, crouching, etc.
