Job Description
This position supports inpatient rounding teams managing benign hematologic conditions, including thrombosis and bleeding disorders. The specialist provides expertise in anticoagulation, reversal strategies, and supportive care, with some outpatient-level support for continuity of care.

Requirements

  • Education: Both PGY1 and PGY2 from an ASHP-accredited residency program
  • PGY1 with 5 years of progressive clinical practice experience
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy or
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • 5 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty with PGY1 from an ASHP-accredited residency program or
  • 8 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty.
  • Computer skills, data entry experience
  • English (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Good general health and stress coping ability
  • Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.), reaching, bending, crouching, etc.
  • Licenses and Certifications: (BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) Upon Hire
  • (TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP) is required Upon Hire
  • (TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN - Texas license with TSBP within 30 days of date of hire within 30 Days
  • (ACLS) ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heat Association (AHA), or American Red Cross (ARC) required for only inpatient positions prior to or within 6 months of employment. Upon Hire
