Job Description
UT Southwestern is seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist to manage benign hematologic conditions, including thrombosis and bleeding disorders. The specialist will provide expertise in anticoagulation, reversal strategies, and supportive care, with some outpatient-level support for continuity of care.

Requirements

  • PGY1 and PGY2 from an ASHP-accredited residency program
  • 5 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty with PGY1 from an ASHP-accredited residency program
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • Computer skills, data entry experience
  • English (speaking, reading, writing). Good general health and stress coping ability
  • Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.), reaching, bending, crouching, etc.
  • BLS) BASIC LIFE SUPPORT certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
  • TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN Eligible for licensure by Texas State Board of Pharmacy (TSBP)
  • TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECNICIAN - Texas license with TSBP within 30 days of date of hire
  • ACLS) ADV CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT course accredited by the American Heat Association (AHA), or American Red Cross (ARC) required for only inpatient positions prior to or within 6 months of employment
