Job Description
Manages clinical activities, priorities, and problems, pharmacist staffing and workloads. Provides status report to pharmacy management effectively communicating issues, concerns, and suggestions as appropriate. Manages and develops clinical initiatives and determines therapeutic alternatives when drug shortages are identified and communicates with medical staff leadership and key stakeholders. Assists with budget preparation and daily financial activity specifically in relation to high cost drugs. Assists the Director and Assistant Vice President of Pharmacy with meeting administrative goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • PGY1 and PGY2 from an ASHP-accredited residency program
  • PGY1 with 5 years of progressive clinical practice experience
  • Bachelor's Degree of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE accredited school of pharmacy
  • 5 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty
  • 8 years progressive clinical practice experience within specialty
  • Computer skills, data entry experience
  • English (speaking, reading, writing). Good general health and stress coping ability.
  • Moderate physical effort: prolonged standing/walking, occasional lifting/carrying (up to 25 lbs.), reaching, bending, crouching, etc.
