Role Overview

The Massachusetts General Hospital Department of Emergency Medicine's division of clinical research is seeking a highly motivated individual with a minimum of one year hands-on clinical research experience to assist with ongoing and future clinical research studies as Clinical Research Coordinator II. Through participation in a variety of federally funded and industry sponsored clinical research studies and trials, our division aims to find new and effective treatments for injuries and illnesses such as trauma, infections, sepsis, stroke, behavioral health intervention, suicide prevention, device studies and others.

What You Will Do

Provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, EEGs, etc.; maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Additionally, it provides input into determining study subject suitability and input into recruitment strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Science required
  • Related post-bachelor's degree clinical research experience 1-2 years required
  • Experience with developing REDCap projects, Epic EMR, IRB submissions (MGB Insight platform is preferred), and in person participant recruitment
