Role OverviewManages regulatory surveys, monitors event report data, and serves as a resource on Risk Management, legal, and ethical issues. Integrates risk management with quality and safety activities. Identifies, investigates, and reports on risk exposures and facilitates Root Cause Analysis & Action process.
What You Will Do
Monitors and analyzes aggregated event report data, develops and implements educational risk management programs, and assesses operational and clinical risk across assigned areas.

Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, critical-thinking, oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of medical terminology and technology, medical procedures/treatments, their usual risks, and expected outcomes
- Understanding of conflict resolution
- Basic knowledge of federal legislation and state statutes relevant to Risk Management and patient safety activities
- Ability to prioritize a diverse workload and possess the ability to work under pressure and deadlines
- Ability to facilitate and/or manage process improvement projects as assigned
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bachelor's degree in a health care related field
- 3+ years of clinical experience in a healthcare-related field or 3+ years of experience in risk management or claims field
