Role Overview

The Clinical Training Specialist will assess, plan, coordinate, and implement training programs focusing on clinical/social service topics. They will conduct ongoing assessment of staff training needs, implement core curriculum for social service staff, and recruit, train, and supervise in-house trainers.

What You Will Do

The Clinical Training Specialist will design, develop, and deliver targeted training based on root cause data analysis, implement agency changes, and conduct clinical and social service focused training sessions.

Why It Might Be a Fit

The ideal candidate will have a Master's Degree in a human service field, experience in training of a clinical nature, and proficiency in using technology, including Zoom and Microsoft 365 Office Suite.

Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Ability to conduct needs assessments and surveys
  • Ability to analyze surveys and develop programs
  • Ability to develop audiovisual aids and instructional materials
  • Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
  • Ability to recruit and train students and in-house trainers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with hostile or resistant clients
  • Ability to utilize children and adolescent crisis intervention techniques
  • Ability to develop, coordinate, and implement clinical training programs
