Role Overview

As a Closing Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth, accurate, and efficient loan funding process. This involves verifying documentation, coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies, and maintaining strong relationships with title companies, closing attorneys, internal stakeholders, and other partners.

What You Will Do

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include verifying the accuracy and completeness of loan files, preparing closing documents, reviewing signed loan documents for accuracy, collaborating with the Treasury team, and ensuring that loan proceeds are disbursed accurately and timely.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field
  • 0 - 2 years of experience in mortgage funding, loan processing, post-closing, lock desk management, capital markets or a similar role within the mortgage or real estate industry
  • Ability to learn and become familiar with mortgage documents, DSCR loan structures, and closing procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for maintaining relationships with stakeholders
  • Proficiency in mortgage software and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to analyze financial data and assess risk
  • Critical thinking skills to manage any discrepancies or issues that arise during the funding process
  • Ability to adapt to a new division's evolving processes and contribute to continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance
  • Proactive mindset to identify and implement process improvements in a new and evolving division
