Cloud Services Backend Software Engineer

This position involves solving challenging technical problems, maintaining existing architecture and code base, and introducing new ways to meet mission needs. The role requires experience working as a member of a software development team, participating in the complete development lifecycle, and applying industry best practices to ensure system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain a polygraph
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience defining measurable metrics to monitor progress
• Experience working as a member of a software development team participating in the complete development lifecycle
• Experience with programming and shell scripting with preference for Java and Python
• Experience with Cloud Management in Amazon Web Services, Azure or equivalent
• Experience with Container orchestration frameworks such as Docker and Kubernetes
• DevSecOps pipeline tools (gitlab, SonarQube, Trivy, Ansible, others)
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies
• Familiarity with continuous integration and software CM processes / tools (GIT, JIRA, Confluence)
• Experience applying industry best practices to ensure system performance, reliability, scalability, and security
• Strong troubleshooting/problem solving skills
• Effective communication skills
• Time management and organizational skills, including the ability to work in a dynamic, real-time environment with rapidly changing priorities
• Familiar with microservice architectures
• Familiarity with build tools (e.g. gradle, maven)
