Cloud Solutions Architect (Mid/Senior)

Join the growing Warfare Systems Business Group at HII-Mission Technologies! As a Cloud Solutions Architect (Mid/Senior), you will design, build, and optimize secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that enable mission-critical modernization efforts. You will bridge business objectives with technical execution by leading cloud architecture, infrastructure migrations, automation, and governance initiatives in AWS environments, while ensuring compliance with DoD security standards and delivering high-impact solutions for data-driven security cooperation programs.

What You Will Do

Design comprehensive end-to-end cloud infrastructure solutions that balance performance, security, scalability, and cost-efficiency. Plan and execute migration strategies for moving legacy on-premise systems to cloud-native environments (AWS GovCloud preferred). Implement robust security controls, including IAM policies, encryption, VPC architecture, network security, and Zero Trust principles to meet DoD RMF, FedRAMP, and other compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in AWS cloud platforms, services, and best practices.
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation and AWS CDK.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python (or similar languages).
• Solid understanding of networking, security (IAM, VPC, encryption), and Zero Trust models.
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Ability to work independently while thriving in collaborative team settings.
• Self-motivated initiator with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
